Advanced Male Classes



Lans: Hello. I am Lans Hamilton, the Holy Knight of Zenobia. Once you've trained for a while as basic classes, you'll be strong enough to upgrade to the more advanced classes. You should upgrade because the advanced classes tend to grow faster in the areas in which they specialize. But be sure that you know how you want to grow before changing into any old class, or else your future options will be limited. On this page, I'll go over the advanced male classes. Dragoon

Known as "Dragon Killers," Dragoons are especially good at attacking Dragons. Dragoons are the ultimate enemy of Dragons and Lizard Men; they have excellent strength and dexterity, making them one of the strongest "fighter" classes. They can also use magic, making them a sort of advanced Knight class.

Dragon Slayer: Against Dragons, their physical attack power increases significantly.


Sword Master

The purpose of brushing up on sword technique is not to be able to survive in the front line, but to refine the soul and overcome karma. By holding a one-handed weapon in both hands, he can be a two-sworded fencer and his fighting ability will go up. He can also use supplemental magic, and his high dexterity makes him very effective at using spells such as Stun and Petrify.

Terror Knight

If you are a psychic, you may be able to see the number of evil spirits and ghosts surrounding this "Terror Knight." He spreads terror, reducing the fighting ability of all enemies who are within a three panel range. He has excellent growth in physical attack, defense, and endurance, and is really a force to be reckoned with in hand-to-hand combat. However, he is quite slow--it would be a good idea to train him as a Ninja for a while to raise his speed.

Warlock

Warlocks are very knowledgeable in ancient languages, using research to decipher spell codes. A scholarly type of magician, Warlocks are able to boost up the power of Golems within a three panel range. It may not be obvious at first, but agility and dexterity are just as important for an effective Warlock as intelligence and MP. Agility and dexterity are necessary for accurate status spells, while intelligence and MP are important for Dragon Magic. Warlocks are the only generic class that can use Dragon Magic. It is recommendable to train them as a Ninja and Sword Master.

Exorcist

Exorcists specialize in killing undead characters; they are protected by the power of the Gods. Usually, when an undead character's HP turns to 0, it will recover in a certain amount of time. Exorcists have the ability to get rid of the undead once and for all with the Exorcism spell. Invaluable in battles against undead characters, Exorcists are also useful because of their healing capabilities.

Gunner

The Gunner is the only class who carries a weapon called a "gun," which is produced in the Barabauda Continent. This class does not believe in magic or any other supernatural powers, so their defense power towards magic is very low. Gunners possess the ability to actually shoot guns, as opposed to just hitting enemies with them. This ability gives them infinite attacking range, but they cannot shoot through obstacles or other characters.

Shooter: An equipped gun can be used as an indirect attack weapon with infinite range.






Lans: That's about all of the help that I can give you with respect to development in the advanced male classes. Keep in mind that the best fighter is usually one that trains as multiple classes, so their weaknesses are minimized. You can be super-strong, but if you are very slow you will be a punching bag and everyone will dodge your attacks. On the flip side, you can be really fast but weak, where one or two hits will kill you. The middle ground is usually the best way to go. Be sure to go back to the academy and develop a path of training that will maximize your abilities.
