Beast Classes

Ganb: On this page you'll find descriptions of the Beast Classes, along with other non-dragon L-size classes. Here is a little reminder in case you forgot what's going on. Please note that a human cannot turn into any of these classes by any natural means. Ready? Let's get started!

Gryphon

Requirements

The Gryphon is a beast that is a cross between a lion and an eagle. Having the ability to fly and move 7 spaces, they have the best mobility in the game! They learn how to use WindShot to attack from afar--given these two abilities, the Gryphon's greatest strength is its excellent attack range. Gryphons reach their maximum potential when they are wind-elemental. Note that this character is L-sized--you can only have two such characters in your Attack Team at any given time!

Spells/Abilities:
WindShot:Shoots a sphere of wind energy at the enemy. Damages user.
Fly:Able to fly over any obstacle or character, unhindered by the terrain type.

Cockatrice

Requirements

The Cockatrice is a beast that is a cross between a rooster and a snake. It has the ability to fly and can move 7 spaces, making it tied with the Gryphon for the most mobile class in the game. The breath of a Cockatrice can turn targets into stone--Cockatrices reach their maximum potential when they are earth-elemental. While their defense is not great, they are quicker than other beasts. Note that this character is L-sized--you can only have two such characters in your Attack Team at any given time!

Spells/Abilities:
Petrify:Inflicts earth-type damage on a target and turns it to stone.
Fly:Able to fly over any obstacle or character, unhindered by the terrain type.

Octopus

Requirements
As one would expect, the Octopus is most comfortable in the water--the only L-size class able to enter water, their fighting ability increases substantially when they are submerged. When fighting enemies in water, the Octopus can use its skill Eddy to inflict some serious damage. However, it takes significantly more damage from attacks, is one of the slowest classes in the game, and does not benefit from Beast Tamers' influence as Gryphons and Cockatrices do. Given its aquatic strengths and preferences, the Octopus will reach its maximum potential when it is water-elemental. Note that this character is L-sized--you can only have two such characters in your Attack Team at any given time!

Spells/Abilities:
Eddy:Creates a whirlpool which damages the enemy. Can only be used in aquatic terrain.

Golem

Requirements
Golems are large dolls made out of clay that were brought to life by some sort of magic. They are physically strong and quite resistant to physical attacks, but do not have a lot of HP and are susceptible to magic and the elements. The only L-sized class without a special ability, the Golem is very slow and tends to miss its attacks often. While beasts receive a boost from Beast Tamers and Aileron feathers, Golems get their boost in power from Warlocks and WordRocks. Note that this character is L-sized--you can only have two such characters in your Attack Team at any given time!

Spells/Abilities: None.

Cyclops

Requirements
The Cyclops is a one-eyed giant that has good fighting ability--the only L-sized class with a "Fast" movement type, they are mobile enough to keep up with most melee classes. Though they cannot equip weapons and armor because their IQ is so low, their high physical strength along with their ability to emit toxic breath enables them to survive on the front lines. With Golems, they are members of the Giant Family--therefore, Warlocks and WordRocks will boost their fighting ability. Cyclopses are not commonly seen in Valeria, but can be found in Hell Gate and on the Brumor Plateau from time to time. Note that this character is L-sized--you can only have two such characters in your Attack Team at any given time!

Spells/Abilities:
Toxic: Toxic breath damages and charms the target.
